From Soma:

Shaker Hymn

I will bow and be simple.
I will bow and be free.
I will bow and be humble.
Yea, bow like the willow tree.

I co-founded Sweetwater in 2012 with another mother with a similar vision, Fiona Wong. When she retired in 2019, Les Samuel came on with many gifts and talents as my partner. Now, after his retirement in 2022, I have become the sole owner. I am so excited to recommit to my original vision of providing a healthy community oriented restaurant for Santa Fe.

Many years of travel and working in the service industry led me to Santa Fe, where I found my home in 1999. I find inspiration in hiking + camping and in my yoga practice; these help me cultivate groundedness and presence. Feeding my family and friends continues the legacies of my grandmother and mother, and carries them on to my daughter, Lila. It also connects me to the nourishing force of the Divine Mother and the ways we ALL can serve each other with love and compassion.

Our community inspires us.

At Sweetwater Harvest Kitchen, we are committed to sustainability practices from composting, recycling, knowing where our products come from, and making choices that are responsible to our business, our customers, and our world.
